About Pointe Claire
Pointe-Claire is an on-island suburb of Montreal in Quebec, Canada. Pointe-Claire is to a great extent private in character, but on the other hand is the site of a ton of financial action, for example, retail action, light assembling, different corporate workplaces, and a healing facility. The image of the town is the Pointe-Claire Windmill. Pointe-Claire was first portrayed by Nicolas Perrot in his record of 1669, and the name Pointe-Claire showed up on a guide as ahead of schedule as 1686. Despite the fact that Samuel de Champlain kayaked through the region in 1613, he announced no town or staying unmistakable.
The toponym Pointe-Claire alludes to the landmass, or point, where the windmill, community, and the Saint-Joachim de Pointe-Claire Church are sited. The point reaches out into Lake Saint-Louis and has a reasonable perspective of its environment. The principal give of land under the seigneurial framework was in 1684 to Pierre Cabassier, for a great deal only east of Pointe Charlebois. Under the seigneurial framework, the Sulpicians needed to construct a factory for the settlers, who thusly needed to crush their grain there at a set expense. The English-dialect Lester B. Pearson School Board runs two primary schools: Clearpoint and St. John Fisher, and four secondary schools: John Rennie, Lindsay Place, St. Thomas and Horizon.
