About Mayerthorpe
Mayerthorpe is a town in focal Alberta, Canada, found roughly 120 km 75 mi northwest of Edmonton at the crossing point of Highway 43 and Highway 22 Cowboy Trail. The town is encompassed by Lac Ste. Anne County and is situated inside Alberta's Census Division No. 13. Mayerthorpe fused as a town on March 5, 1927. It at that point joined as a town a little more than 34 years after the fact on March 20, 1961.
On March 3, 2005, four officers presenting with the Mayerthorpe and Whitecourt separations of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police RCMP were murdered in the Mayerthorpe catastrophe. On July 29, 2008, the Mayerthorpe Arena was obliterated by a fire. In 2011, following three years of arranging and raising support, the new field, now called the Mayerthorpe Exhibition Center, was formally opened. In 2016, a series of suspicious flames in the zone brought about the decimation of a CN trestle connect. The extension was modified presently, in around twenty days.
