Hampstead

Hampstead is a prosperous on-island suburb of Montreal, Quebec. In spite of its status as a free region, the town itself is overwhelmed by the precincts of Montreal making a garden city setting inside a urban domain. The Town of Hampstead was established in 1914. It was intended to be a selective garden city. There are no retail shops inside city limits. Houses were alloted generally vast parcels to permit space for trees and growth.

The town's streets were composed with bends with the end goal to back off movement and to make an intriguing and personal scene. Regardless of its somewhat level geography—a great part of the domain was at one time a green—the town was named after another garden city, the London suburb of Hampstead Village. Like its namesake, Hampstead is the home of numerous well-to-do subjects, and contends with a couple of different rural areas for the lead position in the rankings of most astounding normal family unit salaries in Canada.
