About Elphinstone
Elphinstone is a unincorporated group perceived as a neighborhood urban region in the Rural Municipality of Yellowhead in the Canadian area of Manitoba. It is found northwest of Brandon, Manitoba and is on Highway 45. It is on the west bank of the Little Saskatchewan River. The essential business of the group is agribusiness.
It was named after Lord Elphinstone, who happened 1880 as a visitor of Robert Campbell, boss factor of the HBC, and purchased around 2,000 sections of land 8.1 km2 of arrive on the Little Saskatchewan River. It was built up 1 August 1887 with John A. McDonald as first postmaster.
