About Clermont
Clermont is a ville in the Canadian territory of Quebec, and the seat of government for the Charlevoix-Est Regional County Municipality. It is situated on the southern banks of the Malbaie River. Around 1800, the main pilgrims moved into the region, living fundamentally of farming. Pursued by a saw and flour process, tradeshops, and stores, a settlement developed that was then known as Chute Nairne.
