About Claresholm
Claresholm is a town situated inside southern Alberta, Canada. It is situated on Highway 2, roughly 91 km 57 mi northwest of the City of Lethbridge and 125 km 78 mi south of the City of Calgary. One of the Famous Five associated with the Persons Case, Louise McKinney, lived in Claresholm and was chosen as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for the territory in the 1917 common race. The area was initially a watering stop for steam motors on the Canadian Pacific Railway line along the Macleod Trail when the trains originally touched base in the region in 1891.
The principal pioneers touched base in 1902, and the town was set up in 1903. Claresholm was fused as a town in 1905, the year Alberta turned into a territory. The people group was named after Clare, a pioneer resident. Claresholm encounters a damp mainland atmosphere. Amid winter, Chinook winds have been known to move temperatures from well beneath solidifying to well above in only hours. In the 2016 Census of Population led by Statistics Canada, the Town of Claresholm recorded a population of 3,780 living in 1,644 of its 1,742 aggregate private homes. It is one of the great place.
