About Blairmore
Blairmore is a urban network in the Rocky Mountains inside the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass in southwest Alberta, Canada. It was once joined as a town before 1979 when it amalgamated with four different districts to frame Crowsnest Pass. Blairmore is the chief business point of Crowsnest Pass. From 1946 to 1965, Blairmore was home to Canadian Militia units related with the Royal Canadian Electrical Mechanical Engineers. From 1946 to 1950, No. 22 Armored Workshop existed before being renamed as a Troop of 39 Technical Squadron 1950-1954 and in the end the 31st Technical Squadron 1954-1965.
Amid this time, the Squadron had a band which frequently strutted inside the town and a 535 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps which existed until 1971. Volcanic shakes in the Blairmore territory are identified with the Crowsnest Formation. As a land unit, the volcanics got some consideration in the late 1980s when geologists expressed they had discovered follow measures of gold in specific units of the volcanics. Blairmorite, an uncommon volcanic shake of the Crowsnest Formation, is named after Blairmore.
