About Destelbergen
Destelbergen is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The towns of Destelbergen are appropriate and Hessden in the municipality and were created on 1 January 1977 by the fusion of these two municipalities. Its western boundary touches the Ghent and the municipality of the fair and is built by an ancient sealt branch of Skelstadt River. On January 1, 2011, the total population of Destelbergen was 17,636. The total area is 26.56 sq km, which gives population density of 664 inhabitants per sq. Km.
