Dessel

Dessel is a place and municipality in the Belgian province of Antwerp . It belongs to the electoral canton and the judicial canton of Arendonk. There used by Brouwerij Campina the lager Golding Campina brewed in Dessel. The beer is currently brewed by Alken-Maes and is only available in barrels. The buildings were purchased by the municipality and transformed into 'De Plaetse' administrative center. Dessel is mainly known by the nuclear industry, such as Belgoprocess , FBFC and Belgonuclear . There is also other activities such as sand extraction , well drilling and road construction . Dessel is best known for the annual metal festival , Graspop Metal Meeting . The multi-day festival is visited by tens of thousands of metalheads from home and abroad. Witch Process :

In 1950 the last witch trial took place in Dessel in Belgium. Although no one was charged with witchcraft. Villagers accused Maria Minnen of doing black magic. The woman herself went to court with a charge of defamation and defamation of her neighbor, the churchmaster, and her aunt.
