Garasu Volcano

Various visitors to Azerbaijan may not understand that the country has the most bewildering number of garasu volcanoes on the planet. A champion among other known is Garasu Volcano, that has been known to spew mud in excess of 1,000 meters into the air.

The volcanoes are caused when gases under the earth create and drive the mud high into the air as a release. The main mud volcanoes are said to have catapulted in Azerbaijan 25 million years back, and visitors to Garasu frequently say that no doubt the surface of the moon.
