About Wendouree
Wendouree is a vast suburb on the north western provincial urban edge of the city of Ballarat, in Victoria, Australia. It is the most populated suburb in the City of Ballarat with a sum of 10,445 occupants checked at the 2016 Census. It is named after adjacent Lake Wendouree, which gets its name from the Wathaurong word wendaaree, signifying "be off". It fuses the informal territory of Wendouree West. Wendouree has the second most critical business area in Greater Ballarat, and is additionally the area of a few Ballarat-based business and modern firms.
Tourist spots of Wendouree incorporate the Minerdome, the home of the Ballarat Miners and Ballarat Rush; the Ballarat Showgrounds, where the yearly Ballarat Show is held; Eureka Stadium, or, in other words ground of the North Ballarat VFL club and has facilitated Australian Football League matches since 2017, the previous St Mary's Redemptorist Monastery, Stockland Wendouree strip mall, and the Wendouree Center for the Performing Arts.
