About Neerim South
Neerim South is a town in West Gippsland, Victoria, Australia, situated in the Shire of Baw, 109 kilometers east of Melbourne and 19 kilometers north of Warragul. At the 2016 registration, Neerim South had a populace of 1,305. The Post Office opened on 1 February 1883. The town was associated with the Victorian Railways coordinate with the opening of a branch line from the principle Gippsland line at Warragul on 18 March 1892, later interfacing with Noojee in 1919. The line shut in 1958. Basic instruction is given by Neerim South Primary School Secondary training is given at Neerim District Secondary College.
The town's principle industry is administration to the nearby cultivating network. It contains workmanship displays, a working Alpaca cultivate with an Alpaca item shop, bistros, eateries, a bar and informal lodging. The town related to neighboring township Neerim has an Australian Rules football and netball group Neerim South Cats contending in the Ellinbank and District Football League.
