Designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Cocos Island is one of the many national parks of Costa Rica. The destination is most adored for the scuba diving opportunities it presents. You can swim alongside population of hammerhead sharks, sing rays, and different ieties of dolphins. With such diversity of marine life around Cocos island, its nomination for the New Seven Wonders of the world and selection among the Ten Best Diving Spots in the world by PADI is totally justified. The total area covered by the island is 24 sq. km and it is home to few of land animals like deer, cats, rats and pigs, which were introduced to the island by humans themselves.
