About Boonah
Boonah is both a town and an area of the Scenic Rim Region in south-eastern Queensland, Australia. At the 2011 registration, the town had a populace of 2,474. The historical backdrop of Boonah township is associated with the close-by settlement of Dugandan which was named after a peaceful kept running of a similar name that was taken up in August 1844 by Macquarie McDonald and his sibling Campbell Livingstone McDonald.
