About Beerwah
Beerwah is a rustic town and a territory in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. It is arranged north of Glass House Mountains, around 80 kilometers 50 mi north of Brisbane, and only south of Landsborough. The primary street through Beerwah is called Steve Irwin Way. It was some time ago known as the Glasshouse Mountain Tourist Route and is gotten to by the Bruce Highway, which avoided the town in 1985.
Beerwah is directed by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council. The name Beerwah originates from the Kabi dialect Turrbal vernacular word birrawaman, with birra importance sky and wandum significance climbing up. Beerwah Post Office opened by August 1907 a getting office had been open from 1891. The Coochin Creek Provisional School opened in November 1888, getting to be Coochin Creek State School on 1 January 1909. In about November 1928, it was renamed Beewah State School. On 10 July 1952, another Coochin Creek State School opened, however it shut on 11 March 1962.
