About Basilica of Santa Capilla
Well popular among visitors and locals for its astonishing view, the Basilica of Santa Capilla is a Roman Catholic basilica in Caracas, Venezuela situated at the side of Santa Capilla on Avenida Urdaneta. It is situated in the notable focal point of the city, in the Cathedral Parish of Libertador Municipality. On February 16, 1979 was pronounced a National Historic Landmark.
The new church of Santa Capilla supplanted the old seclusion of San Sebastián that had been raised in 1568 and afterward committed to Saint Maurice in 1640, yet just a year later is crushed by a tremor in 1667 it remakes the congregation with components straightforward as wood and blocks. In 1812 another tremor totally annihilated the congregation starting its remaking.
