About Kuva
Kuva is a touch town located inside the north-west of the Fergana Valley. As many other cities in the valley its age dates dozens of centuries lower back. The actual date of foundation is unknown. The first points of interest of settlements that had been found date from 3rd century BC. Kuva is one of the most historical Fergana towns. The original name of this city is unknown, but, the Arabs called it “Kubo”, which translates as “hill”.
As many different Central Asian towns, Kuva changed into constructed on the remains of every other town, whose thatched mud homes had been slowly becoming dirt. This Fergana metropolis had standard oriental shape: fort, shahristan or the internal part of the metropolis, and rabada or resident part of the town. According to ancient notes, Kuva changed into a flourishing city, perhaps bigger and more evolved than historic capital of the Fergana Valley – Ahsikent.
Kuva became the middle of political and economic power. The town changed into regarded for its proficient craftsmen and had quite a few settlements of investors and craftsmen outdoor metropolis partitions. What makes Khiva in contrast to any other Fergana metropolis is that during archeological excavations remnants of Buddhist temple had been observed. Inside the temple there had been fragments of enormous sculpture, sculptures of different deities, and ruins of clay Buddha. The most exciting among all findings is head of goddess Shri Devi.
