Woolworth Building
About Woolworth Building
The Woolworth Building is a skyscraper. It is a tower which has 60 stories and 792 feet above Broadway was the tallest working on the planet when it was finished, in 1913. Financed in real money by the five-and-dime tycoon Frank W. Woolworth and planned by planner Cass Gilbert, the building won broad recognition for its spearheading steel-outline structure and shocking inside and outside appearance. Despite the fact that it is no match in tallness for later high rises, for example, the Empire State Building 1930, the Woolworth Building was viewed as a model of development for a considerable length of time, and remains a most loved sight on the New York City horizon.
