About Woodward Park

Woodward Park is an open park situated in Fresno, California, adjoining the San Joaquin River. It is the biggest of the three noteworthy open parks in the Fresno zone. Ralph Woodward gave most of the land for the recreation center in 1968. The CIF Cross Country State Championships are facilitated here each November. The exhibitions happen on the WSF Stage close to the Friant/Fort Washington Entrance, and feature ious commonplace titles. The organization has held more than 311 exhibitions in the recreation center and is right now in their eleventh season.
The recreation center highlights the Shinzen Friendship Garden, otherwise called the Shinzen Japanese Garden, a 5-section of land Japanese walk plant opened in 1981 and outlined by Paul Saito. The garden incorporates a teahouse that was worked in Japan and re-collected by Japanese craftsmen on the shore of the lake. The garden was built to respect Kochi, Japan, which is Fresno's sister city. In 2015, the garden got more than 100 bonsai examples from the Golden State Bonsai Federation Collection of the previous Clark Center for Japanese Art and Culture in Hanford, California.
