Winter Island

The principle attractions of the recreation center are the noteworthy Fort Pickering, the Fort Pickering Lighthouse, Salem Harbor, a watercraft propelling slope, and the previous Coast Guard seaplane overhang and military quarters. Fortress Pickering is recorded independently on the National Register of Historic Places.
