Windham Textile and History Museum
About Windham Textile and History Museum
The Windham Textile and History Museum is a historical center in Willimantic, Connecticut. The exhibition hall includes the Brooke Shannon Antique Sewing Machine Room, which is a room which highlights reproduction sewing machines from the manufacturing plant in the late-nineteenth century. Its principle center is the Willimantic Linen Company's Willimantic process, later obtained by the American Thread Company and shut in 1985.
The historical center is situated in the previous organization store building. Different shows incorporate a re-production of the director's office, an imitation of the motel in the 1880s. A voyage through the plant property is a piece of the visit, however access inside in excluded because of the greater part of the plant being on private property.
