Willis Tower
About Willis Tower
The Willis Tower is a sky scrapper which is built as and still commonly referred to as the Sears Tower. The most tremendous fascination at the skydeck is 'the edge', a glass gallery expanding 4.3 ft where you can look straight down. It will make the vast majority feel uneasy at first yet the overhangs offer fantastic perspectives over Wacker Drive and the Chicago River. Famous among locals and visitors the pinnacle was named after Sears, Roebuck and Co., an American chain of Department Stores which was headquartered here. Singes sold the working in 1993 subsequent to moving to suburbia. The building's name was left unaltered until Juli 16, 2009, when it was renamed Willis Tower for one of the high rise's occupants, a British protection firm.
