Whitehead Memorial Museum
About Whitehead Memorial Museum
Whitehead Memorial Museum is a water system trench courses through a town of notable structures called Whitehead Memorial Museum. The most seasoned is the 1870 Perry Store, containing living quarters, period relics and military memorabilia. A 1905 wood-outline office has displays on Black Seminole Scouts and powerful 1920s outskirt radio stations. Close-by is the 1925 office of Dr. Simon Rodriguez, the town's first Hispanic doctor. A log lodge and smithy shop revives pioneer times, and a provincial horse shelter indicates Native American relics. Antique homestead hardware and a windmill spot the shady grounds. "Law West of the Pecos" Judge Roy Bean and his child are covered nearby, close dioramas portraying his life and a reproduction of his Jersey.
