Washington Rock State Park
About Washington Rock State Park
Washington Rock State Park is a 52-section of land grand state stop over the main Watchung Mountain in Green Brook, New Jersey. The recreation center is worked and kept up by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. It is renowned for the picturesque neglect which was at that point exploited by General George Washington in 1777 to screen British troop developments when the Continental Army was positioned at the Middlebrook camp. The 30-mile all encompassing vista covers the eastern fields of New Jersey up to New York City. The land was purchased in 1913 to build up the recreation center. A large portion of it is forest yet at the viewpoint there are strolling trails and an excursion territory.
