About Warden
It is a city in Grant County, Washington, United States. The Central Basin level was settled in the late 1800s by foreigners of Russian-German Bessarabian family line who homesteaded in the zone and cultivated dryland wheat. Before this the region had been possessed by neighborhood Native American Salish clans that had contact with the early Spanish and British brokers. The Milwaukee Railroad touched base in the mid 1900s and pulled in extra pilgrims, including Doc Harris who set up a medication and sundries store with doctor benefits in Warden around 1905.
The town's name of "Superintendent" originates from its Bessarabian German legacy and signifies "commendable" or "prized" as might be noted in the Das Deutsche Woerterbuch von Jacob und Wilhelm Grimm. A nearby custom traits the name of the town to Doc Harris' child Ward. Nonetheless, the region of the town was being alluded to as "Superintendent" by its German pioneers well before Doc Harris landed, as might be noted in the Protokol, official church records in German of the first church which is today the Warden Community Church. Other adjacent towns likewise convey Bessarabian German names, for example, Lind, Ruff, and Odessa. The Bessarabian German custom of the town has since a long time ago vanished and has been for the most part supplanted with a blended Anglo/Hispanic culture with a present populace that is of about 72% Hispanic legacy.
