Volunteer Park
About Volunteer Park
Arranged in the center of Seattle, Volunteer Park is home to the Volunteer Park Conservatory and the Seattle Asian Art Museum. The Landmarks Preservation Board alloted Volunteer Park as a Seattle Landmark on November 2, 2011. The Department had cleared around six areas of place where there is timber and planted a nursery supplemented with a nursery and hotbed.
This significant Olmsted Park is loved by tenants and visitors alike. In 1876 the City got 40 areas of land for $2,000 from a sawmill plan, J. M. Colman Park without demonstrating reason other than "metropolitan." Ordinance 642 of each 1885 portrayed the reason as "Washelli Cemetery" yet following two years it was changed to "Lake View Park" and gravesites were asked for cleared.
