Virginia War Memorial
About Virginia War Memorial
Arranged on about four sections of land neglecting downtown Richmond and the James River, the Virginia War Memorial is a taking off tribute to the administration and forfeit of Virginia veterans and nationals in time of war. The Memorial respects all veterans and especially those about 12,000 Virginians executed in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and the Global War on Terror. The Memorial includes the rousing Shrine of Memory, with the names of Virginia veterans who made a definitive forfeit engraved on its stone and glass dividers; the lofty statue Memory; the E. Bruce Heilman Amphitheater; and the Paul and Phyllis Galanti Educational Center, which incorporates military and verifiable displays and two auditoriums demonstrating the honor winning virtual reality film, Into Battle, and the Virginians at War video arrangement.
