Virginia City

Virginia City is an evaluation assigned place CDP that is the area seat of Story County, Nevada. It is a piece of the Reno-Sparks Metropolitan Statistical Area. Virginia City jumped up as a boomtown with the 1859 disclosure of the Comstock Lode, the main real silver store revelation in the United States, with ious mines opening. At the city's pinnacle of the populace in the mid-1870s, it had an expected 25,000 inhabitants. The mines' yield declined after 1878, and the city itself declined accordingly.

As of the 2010 Census, the number of inhabitants in Virginia City was around 855, and that of Story County 4,000.Virginia City's silver metal revelations were not some portion of the California Gold Rush, which happened 10 years prior.
