Ulysses is a city in and the district seat of Grant County, Kansas, United States. It is named after Ulysses S. Allow, the eighteenth President of the United States. As of the 2010 registration, the city populace was 6,161.
From February one thousand nine hundred eighty two through August one thousand nine hundred eighty three, Ulysses had two week after week daily papers, The Ulysses Tribune and The Grant County Republican; the two papers were political in nature. The Grant County Republican spoke to the Republican Party. The Ulysses Tribune spoke to the Alliance Party. it has worked under ious names, editorial manager/distributers, and administration.
