The Tree of 40 Fruits is a trial in both craftsmanship and science, a Frankenstein's creature esque plant which, amid the spring and summer, develops more than three dozen novel sorts of natural product.

Fruits, plums, peaches, and almonds are only a portion of the consummately palatable natural products that develop on this tree. It was made by Sam Van Aken by uniting the buds of 40 types of tree onto a solitary plant, and was planted at Syracuse University in 2008.
