Thew West Rock Ridge

The edge shapes a persistent line of uncovered precipices unmistakable from metropolitan New Haven and focuses west. West Rock Ridge or West Rock of south-focal Connecticut, with a high purpose of 700 feet 213 m, is a 7-mile 11 km long trap shake mountain edge situated on the west side of New Haven. The edge is navigated by a system of climbing trails including the 7-mile 11 km Regicides Trail and the southern end of the 23-mile 37 km Quinnipiac Trail.

It is a piece of the tight, direct Metacomet Ridge that stretches out from Long Island Sound close New Haven, north through the Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts to the Vermont outskirt. West Rock Ridge is mainstream for entertainment and known for its microclimate environments, uncommon plant groups, and far reaching sees from bluffs that pinnacle up to 500 feet 152 m over the encompassing scene.
