The Valentine

ItEstablished by Mann S. Valentine II 1898, it was the primary gallery in Richmond. The Valentine offers shows that attention on "American urban and social history, ensembles and materials, brightening expressions and architecture."The Valentine likewise incorporates the 1812 neoclassical Wickham House, a National Historical Landmark. During the late nineteenth century, the Valentines started to gather in the fields of paleohistory, human studies, expressive arts and embellishing expressions. Mann established the framework for the exhibition hall in 1892; when he kicked the bucket in 1893, he gave the first estate to the Valentine Museum, leaving his accumulation of workmanship and ancient rarities, the 1812 John Wickham House.
