Thomas Halsey was one of the originators of Southampton in 1640. He acquired this property in 1648 to begin a homestead and raise his family. The Halsey House was worked by his child Thomas Halsey Jr. in 1683. Come inside the house and investigate a basic two story, two room lodge which can be recognized on the outside by the jewel design windows. Go ahead Saturday from July to mid-October between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm as this noteworthy historical center is available to general society around then. The decorations in the house mirror a pioneer cultivate family home in 1750 and a display on the Shinnecock Tribe with a reproduced Woodland Period Village c. 1,000 CE with hands-on exercises for kids.
