Situated on Farmington Avenue, the Mark Twain House and Museum is the place Samuel Longhorne Clemens lived and worked in the vicinity of 1874 and 1891. Before living in this house, Clemens, known as Mark Twain, lived in a few spots including Hannibal, Missouri.
Nonetheless, it was in this house in Hartford where he composed his most popular books, including The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, among other surely understood works. Worked in the Victorian Gothic style in the vicinity of 1873 and 1874, the house has 19 rooms. Opened in 2003, the historical center highlights changeless and turning displays that allow guests to take in more about the creator and his life.
