The Evergreen Museum Library
About The Evergreen Museum Library
It also called Evergreen House, is a verifiable historical center of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is situated between the grounds of the College of Notre Dame and Loyola College. It, alongside Homewood Museum, make up the Johns Hopkins University Museums. The house was worked in the mid-nineteenth century and purchased in 1878 by the leader of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, John W. Garrett.
Railways were then a key industry in the United States and, as Baltimore's Garrett family claimed and oversaw one of the greatest rail organizations, the home developed and ended up both sumptuous and renowned. John Garrett's child T. Harrison included a wing containing a pool room, knocking down some pins rear way, and an exercise center, which in later years were changed over into a craftsmanship display and private theater. Evergreen House filled in as a home for the family until 1952, when it was given to the college.
