About The Desert View Tower
The Desert View Tower is arranged in western Imperial County. The stone zenith was worked from 1922 to 1928 as a roadside interest by Bert Vaughn, a land architect who had Jacumba. The three-story tower houses a show corridor and has a discernment deck on its upper level. The gift shop at the base of the apex is a later expansion. A gathering of stone figures of the animal, called Boulder Park, is neighboring Desert View Tower.
Both the apex and model garden are works of individuals art. The zenith and figure develop were recorded on the National Register of Historic Places on August 29, 1980. As individuals craftsmanship, the apex and garden were joined into the Twentieth Century Folk Art Environments in California Multiple Property Submission.
