The Conrad-Caldwell House Museum
About The Conrad-Caldwell House Museum
The Conrad-Caldwell House Museum is an imperative house in the St. James-Belgravia Historic District in Old Louisville. Worked in 1893 for Theophile and Mary Conrad, it was given the epithet of "Conrad's Castle." Made of bedford limestone, the house was worked in what is known as the Richardsonian-Romanesque style.
The outside highlights coned, hexagonal, and pyramid formed towers and turrets and numerous enrichments, for example, cut creatures, foreboding figures, and different items. The inside has high roofs, recolored glass windows, cut chimneys, and parquet floors that copy knit designs. The exhibition hall offers visits, and the notable house can be leased for uncommon events, for example, weddings.
