State Capitol Building
About State Capitol Building
Around 20 miles before you achieve Bismarck you will see the city's fundamental point of interest: the wonderful 19-story Art Deco state legislative center, the tallest working in the city and the seat of the North Dakota government overwhelms the city horizon and can be seen from far away.
There is a perception deck on the eighteenth floor, the most elevated point in the whole state. The building is situated amidst a delightful green grounds that houses six other government structures, Myron Atkinson Park, the Capitol Park, and in the inside, Capitol Mall, an open field of grass encompassed on the two sides by grand American elms and miles of strolling ways. U.S. President George H. W. Shrub for the state's centennial planted one of the elms.
