Snowy Mountain was initially known as 'Squaw Bonnet', it is a mountain situated in Hamilton County, New York. Snowy Mountain is flanked toward the upper east by Squaw Mountain and toward the southwest by Lewey Mountain. It is remains inside the watershed of the Hudson River, which channels into New York Bay.
The south end of the northwest side of Snowy Mountain channels into Little Squaw Brook, thereupon into the Cedar River, and the Hudson River. You can do climbing of around 3.8 miles one path with a rise pick up of more than 2000 feet. The first around 2.4 miles is a lovely stroll in the forested areas along a stream. You cross the stream a few times while climbing 600+ feet all the while.
