About Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area
Storehouses and Smokestacks National Heritage Area SSNHA otherwise called America's Agricultural Heritage Partnership. It is one of 49 governmentally assigned legacy zones in the country and is an Affiliated Area of the National Park Service. The Silos and Smokestacks district covers the upper east third of the province of Iowa, including thirty-seven areas. The urban areas of Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Waterloo, Dubuque, and Iowa City are altogether situated inside the district. The National Park Service perceives more than 90 group and secretly worked locales in the zone that translate the account of American farming. These range from dairy homesteads and galleries to vineyards and tractor gathering plants. Incorporated into the region are the Amana Colonies, Living History Farms, and Brucemore, a couple of Iowa's best known vacation destinations.
