Sherman Island

The 5,500 ha 14,000 areas of land island is the social event reason for Sacramento-, Solano-, and Contra Costa-Counties, and is skirted on the north and northwest by the Sacramento River, on the upper east by Three Mile Slough, and on the east, and south west by the San Joaquin River. Access to the island is given by California State Route 160, which uses the Antioch Bridge to associate Sherman Island with the city of Antioch toward the south, and the Three Mile Slough Bridge to interface Sherman Island with Brannan Island State Recreation Area toward the north. It is one of the famous island.
