About Sheehan Gallery
The Sheehan Gallery was made in 1973 to help the tasteful sciences instructive modules of Whitman College and to fill in as an insightful and social resource for the Pacific Northwest society and past, through the get-together, security, show, and comprehension of undeniable and contemporary craftsmanship.
In 1987, with the securing of the Davis Collection, this mission was reached out to fuse a highlight on Asian craftsmanship. In 1999 a Japanese lunch alcove was added to the Gallery to energize this highlight. This Tea Room Chikurakken is right now housed in the Asian Studies Center at Whitman College. The Donald H. Sheehan Gallery, named to pay tribute to Whitman's ninth president, is a basic visual articulations resource for the school and the Walla Valley.
