Sawtooth Lake is a snow capped lake in Custer County, Idaho, United States, found high in the Sawtooth Mountains in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. The lake is roughly 6.8 miles 10.9 km southwest of Stanley. A trail from the Iron Creek trailhead and campground leads roughly 5 miles to Sawtooth Lake. The Iron Creek trailhead can be gotten to from State Highway 21 by means of Sawtooth National Forest street 619. With a surface rise of 8,435 feet 2,571 m above ocean level, Sawtooth Lake frequently stays solidified into late-spring. At the southern end of the lake is Mount Regan at 10,190 feet 3,110 m in height. Sawtooth Lake is in the Sawtooth Wilderness and wild allow can be acquired at trailheads. The climb to Sawtooth Lake from the Iron Creek trailhead is a standout amongst the most mainstream climbs in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area.
