Sahuaro Ranch
About Sahuaro Ranch
Sahuaro Ranch was one of the main homesteads in the Glendale region and an indication of Glendale's agrarian beginnings. Begun by well off Illinois specialist William H. Bartlett in 1886, the farm was a business activity and ended up known as the "Showplace of the Valley."
The City safeguarded 17 sections of land of the first farm alongside 13 structures and a noteworthy scene of trees and water system trench. This gathering has two parts. It highlights pictures from the last private proprietor of Sahuaro Ranch, Richard S. Smith, and in addition photos from the early organization of this noteworthy site by the City of Glendale.
