Rowan Oak
About Rowan Oak
Rowan Oak in Oxford, Mississippi. It is a crude Greek Revival house worked in the 1840s by Robert Sheegog. Faulkner acquired the house when it was in decay in the 1930s and did a large number of the redesigns himself. Different redesigns were done in the 1950s. The house sits on 4 arranged and twenty-nine sections of the land to a great extent lush property known as Bailey's Woods.
One of its more renowned highlights is the diagram of Faulkner's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel A Fable, penciled in graphite and red on the mortar mass of his examination. The back road of cedars that lines the carport was basic in the nineteenth century.
