River Farm

Stream Farm 25 sections of land/10.1 ha, home to the American Horticultural Society AHS base camp, is a memorable scene situated at 7931 East Bouled Drive, Alexandria, Virginia.The River Farm property was built up in 1653– 54 by Giles Brent and his better half, a princess of the Piscataway clan, who got an allow of 1,800 sections of land 7.3 km2 named Piscataway Neck.

Following monetary challenges, Clifton sold the land to neighbor, establishing father George Washington, who got the property for £1,210 through a chapter 11 deal in 1760. Washington changed the name of Clifton's Neck to River Farm and rented the property to sharecroppers.

This incorporated the houses known as "Wellington," "Waynewood," and "Collingwood." Stream Farm was gone down through two quick ages of Washingtons and later sold with 652 sections of land of Washington's unique land to the Snowden siblings of New Jersey. The property was home to ious proprietors including Malcolm Matheson, who purchased the property in 1919. Matheson set the property available in 1971 and got an offer from the Soviet Embassy who intended to utilize the land as a withdraw or dacha for its staff. People in general contradicted this buy which brought about the AHS obtaining of the property.
