Del Rio

Del Rio is a city and situate of Val Verde district, southwestern Texas, U.S. It lies along the Rio Grande, there connected to Ciudad Acuna, Mexico, 145 miles 233 km west of San Antonio. The first Spanish mission of San Felipe del Rio c. 1675 on the site was pulverized by Indians, yet the name made due until 1883, when it was abbreviated to stay away from disarray with San Felipe de Austin.
