Rengstorff House
About Rengstorff House
The Rengstorff House, Mountain View's most established home, is one of the afinest cases of Victorian Italianate engineering on the West Coast. This 12-room, 3955 square foot house has 11-foot roofs on the primary floor and 10-foot roofs on the second story. Completely reestablished in 1991, the Rengstorff House includes a Victorian Italianate outline with a hip rooftop, a focal peak delegated by a dowager's walk, front colonnade and symmetrical room design.
Flawlessly outfitted by a group based association known as the Friends of "R" House, the home highlights fancy metal ceiling fixtures, Victorian mortar rosettes, push-catch light switches, Bradbury and Bradbury backdrop outlines and Eastlake furniture.
