About Red River Gorge
The Red River Gorge is a ravine framework on the Red River in east-focal Kentucky. Geographically, it is a piece of the Pottsville Escarpment. A great part of the Gorge is situated inside the Daniel Boone National Forest and has been along these lines saved as the Red River Gorge Geological Area, a region of around 29,000 sections of land 120 km2; 45 sq mi.1 It has been assigned a National Natural Landmark and National Archeological District, and it is recorded on the National Register of Historic Places. The 13,379-section of land 54.14 km2; 20.905 sq mi Clifty Wilderness Area lies altogether inside the geographical region in the Red River Gorge. This unpredictable gorge framework includes a plenitude of high sandstone bluffs, shake sanctuaries, waterfalls, and normal extensions. There are in excess of 100 characteristic sandstone curves in the Red River Gorge Geological Area. The large number of sandstone and precipice lines have helped this region end up one of the world's best shake climbing goals and is home to the Red River Gorge Climbers' Coalition. The zone is nicknamed the Red by climbers.
