Perry s Victory & International Peace Memorial
About Perry s Victory & International Peace Memorial
The Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial was worked to respect the general population who battled in the Battle of Lake Erie. Otherwise called the Battle of Put-In Bay, this War of 1812 clash enabled the Americans to wrest control of Lake Erie from the British. About 70 individuals passed on in the fight and near 200 were injured.
The Perry's Victory Memorial commends the enduring peace between Britain, Canada, and the United States. It is a popular historical place in Ohio city. A Doric section rising 352 feet over Lake Erie remains as an indication of that tranquil relationship.
